For sale is my 2007 Fender USA VG (Virtual Guitar) Stratocaster - an American made strat (Corona, California). It's basically an American Standard Stratocaster with the addition of a Roland pickup in front of the bridge which gives the guitar some great features (more below). Comes with a Fender hardshell case In great condition - only a few small marks that don't show up in photos. Frets have hardly any wear and the maple fretboard and neck are still very white/pale (has been kept out of the sun) Plays beautifully as you'd expect from an American-made strat. Neck is straight with frets in great condition and is really smooth the play. Bridge is in great condition and has the nice strat flutter with the whammy bar Being a VG, it also has Roland's awesome COSM modelling module onboard which allows you to emulate other guitars (the pickup selector switch also changes the tones on these) and other tunings (https://www.roland.com/us/products/g-5/) Five guitar modes: Normal stratocaster (i.e. doesn't use the Roland pickup or need batteries) Modeled Stratocaster Modeled Telecaster Humbucking Pickups Acoustic (selector switch lets you choose different models) Alternate tunings (can be used in conjunction with the emulated guitars): Standard (i.e. doesn't use the Roland pickup or batteries) Drop D Open G D Modal Baritone 12-string The modelling is a really cool feature but when you're in a different tuning (except 12-string or standard mode) you do hear the unmodified notes coming through sometimes when you are playing single notes. You can't tell when playing chords, only single notes for some reason. This appears to be a common problem with these guitars which develops over time (this is the second VG strat I've owned) but doesn't impact any of the emulated guitars as long as you're in standard or 12-string mode. Even if you take the batteries out, this still functions as an awesome American made strat Local pickup is from North Melbourne but please contact me if you want to try before you buy or have any other questions.
