For sale here is an American Deluxe Stratocaster that was purchased around 2010. It has a gorgeous red-orange-gold sunburst finish with an alder body and a rosewood neck. The neck is a shallow D shape which makes playing it incredibly smooth and easy. These guitars came feature-laden with locking tuners and strap locks. They also came with the N3 Noiseless Pickup Switching System, which boasted silent single-coil pickups with extensive selection options past the typical five-position switch. After actually plugging it in I quickly found out that the switching system and silent pickups came at the cost of all of the tone of the guitar - my Mexican Stratocaster sounded significantly better than this much-more-expensive option. I removed all of the electronics from the interior of the guitar and replaced it with a standard 5-way switching system. I also replaced the pickups with Lollar custom-wired single-coils. In the neck and middle positions are Lollar Strat Blackfaces and in the bridge position is a Lollar Strat special for a little more aggressive of a sound. These pickups are butter - an absolute delight to listen to through any amp.
This is a used guitar though. I've given it a lot of love over the last seven years but it has its share of dings and scrapes. That's why I've started the auction as low as I have. The damage is detailed in the last two photos. If you're okay with a guitar that isn't box fresh (and really, what guitar doesn't get better with age?) then this is a lot of guitar for a very low price. If you have any questions feel free to ask away. I'm selling this guitar to pay for a very different one I'm having built and because I don't play much music that calls for a Stratocaster anymore. Still, I've loved this thing for years. I'd like it to go to someone who's going to enjoy it as much as I have. This will ship in its original Fender case.
