A superb, rare French certified violin bow made by Nicolas Maline ca. 1860. This is a fabulous example and a SOLO LEVEL SOUNDING AND HANDLING BOW made with inspiration of F.X. Tourte model. Nicolas Maline was a great master and one of the important French bowmakers. N. Maline was a maker of some of the best bows for J.B. Vuillaume. His bows are highly esteemed by fine musicians, including important soloists and collectors worldwide
The stick is dark red brown pernambuco, round, strong with a perfect flexibility, fine balance, excellent handling and a superb, solo level tone. The weight is 60 g and the length of the stick is 73 cm.
