A superb French cello bow made by Emile August Ouchard ca. 1935, certified by J.F. Raffin, S. Bigot and Y. Le Canu in Paris. This is, as stated in the certificate is a VERY BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE of the maker's work in a fine state of preservation. It is also a SOLOIST LEVEL sounding and handling bow. E.A. Ouchard was one of the greatest French bowmakers of 20th century. His bows are among the best and most beautiful, made in artistic way with great talent.
The stick is orange brown pernambuco of superior quality and figuration, round, strong with good balance, fine flexibility, excellent tonal quality and superb handling. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 69.8 cm and the weight is 80 g.
