A very fine, old French violin bow made by Jean-Joseph Martin ca. 1875, certified by J.F. Raffin, Y. Le Canu and S. Bigot i n Paris. J.J.Martin was one of the fine and important French bow makers second half of 19th century. He also made fine bows for J.B. Vuillaume. This is WONDERFUL example in a very good state of preservation with some natural wear from playing. 
The stick is golden brown pernambuco of excellent choice and beautiful figuration, round, quite strong with fine flexibility, solo level tonal quality, excellent handling with general feeling towards Tourte bows. The length of the stick is 73 cm and the weight is of the bow is 60 g.
