Early vintage Yamaha SG 1500, the original first version that was current with the original SG 2000. It shares the same body woods but neck is set not straight thru, altho it has the maple middle section in the neck and the maple strip running through the body like its sister guitar. Can be seen in one of the pics. The maple strip in the neck can be seen in bright sunlight to be flamed!!! beautiful woods were used back in the day. Very heavy! just like the 2000, a Man,s guitar, lovely long fluid sustain. Has the same sustain plate as the 2000. The guitar is all original apart from Gibson 490 and 498 pickups with relic covers and cream surrounds, they suit it very well. Also it lost its truss rod cover and has a beautiful real ebony Eye of Horus inlaid in pearl and abalone replacement.
It looks amazing. The guitar has been well gigged but still has lovely fret work, has lovely character.
