This is a used GIBSON SG CUSTOM VINTAGE 1979 HERITAGE CHERRY 3 HUMBUCKER ELECTRIC GUITAR + OHSC!!!!!! Used but in good shape!!! Just some normal cosmetic wear (pictured) on this one!!! Has a few nicks, scuffs and scratches on various parts of the body (pictured) but nothing serious and definitely nothing that affects performance!!! Has been tested and sounds amazing although the sound does crackle/cut when switching pickups and adjusting knobs. Sound becomes clear once settings are dialed in!!! Probably just old wiring!!! This gorgeous guitar features a 3 humbucking pickup configuration with two switches and looks to be a custom job!!! We've sold our fair share of SG's throughout the years and I've never seen one like this before!!! Serial number (72259107) dates this beauty back to 1979 but after spending hours researching, I can't find another '79 SG that has this pickup configuration along with the gold platted hardware and the second switch!!! This may be a one of a kind!!! The back of the headstock has "SECOND" printed under the serial number which indicates a finish flaw (purely cosmetic) which I believe refers to the discoloration on the back of the neck (pictured). From what I can gather through various website, these "second" guitars were typically sold to a Gibson factory employee at discount once the defect was discovered so if it has been modified, it was probably in good hands!!! This iconic guitar features the classic 70's Gibson SG design and is one of the most sought after ax's for any rock enthusiast!!! With the iconic Heritage Cherry finish and stylish cutaway body, this guitar will look incredible whether on stage or in a garage!!! The 22 fret fingerboard features rectangle inlays and the gold hardware + trim complement the cherry finish beautifully!!!
