A very fine French certified violin bow made by Joseph Alfred Lamy Pere ca. 1890, certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris. Lamy Pere was a great bow maker, pupil of F.N. Voirin and a teacher of E. Sartory.
This is beautiful example of the maker's work in a very nice state of preservation probably with an original tinsel winding. The bow is suitable for a finest musician.
The stick is red brown pernambuco, round, quite strong with a nice flexibility, good balance and excellent sound. The length of the stick is 72.9 cm and the weight is 59 g.
