Not everyone swears by an R-13! Some people say these earlier, pro horns, have a richer sound. This one is certainly a survivor, and we went completely nuts on it. The horn was disassembled down to the bare body and posts, and rejuvenated. I know some will say oil immersion is wrong, but when a horn this old is brought back to life, it's my opinion that this is necessary. We have our own take on the process, three steps, and the horn is very carefully dried afterwards before reassembly. All new, Buffet double bladder pads, all new corks, keys polished, everything seen to. It has a later, stock buffet mouthpiece, cap and lig and we put it all in a brand new, aftermarket, knock-off Buffet case with key. If an R13 just isn't quite in your budget, this is a fantastic alternative. Excellent for an advancing intermediate, though this is a pro horn. Great as a backup for a pro too! We always have several horns for sale, all listed locally and subject to prior sale, all prepared with meticulous care and attention to detail.
