A very fine French violin bow made by Claude Thomassin ca. 1910, certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris. C. Thomassin was one of the finest French bow makers of 20th century.  His bows being strong and stable, have some flexibility that makes instrument sound free  more in the way like fine French bows of 19th century.
This is a superb example with a rare combination of a magnificent sound quality with equally fine level of technical/handling abilities.
The stick is a first class pernambuco, round, strong with a perfect flexibility, excellent balance and a wonderful, solo quality sound. The length of the stick is 73.2 cm and the weight is 59.5 g.
The bow has been played and has some natural wear, however it is in a very fine state of preservation. Please read complete description in the certificate and bid with confidence; we have sold certified French bows to numerous satisfied collectors, dealers, players and soloists from worldwide. Cashiers check, bank wire transfer will be accepted within 5 days after auction completed.
