My brother and I bought this P-bass new at Sam Ash Music on Route 110 in Huntington, NY. He ended up having it as his main bass until he passed away two years ago. It has a DiMarzio Superbass pickup that was put on by Murph at the first Murphy's Music, on 110 in the strip mall next to Sam Ash. The Badass Bridge was put on by Joe Jesseli, the "Stradivarius of Huntington". It's been configured as it is now, with Fender nylon strings, since 1977. The case is the original Fender that came with it. My brother loved to put stickers on his case, as you can see. I lost the original pu, bridge and bridge cover in a house fire 25 years ago. Who cares? This is a serious monster of a player's bass. Godzilla! The Quan bridge adds mass and sustain, and that 40 year old DiMarzio sounds as clear and powerful as it did the day Murph put it on. The body has lots of character, as the pictures show. We played a lot of tough rooms, where your Fender sometimes had to be your De-Fender. Man, that P-Bass looks tough on stage. Like Duck Dunn in the Blues Brothers Check out the pictures, ask any questions, and get yourself the archetypical P-Bass you know you always wanted.
