Hi,This is an early Soundelux E49, hand built by David Bock before he left to start Bock Audio.It was recently serviced in 2016 by David personally until he felt that it sounded up to spec (which cost me roughly $500)The body was replaced by David at my request during servicing due to a ding in the original housing incurred by a wayward drummer during a session, So David took the time to design a new body, which is actually in his opinion, superior to the original in terms of how natural things sound after you plug it in.David has been hand building a few of these for people recently, with a new internal mount design. The new body sports this new design, and I can say for certain that it sounds better than it ever did, and it has always been my favorite mic to work with.This mic has been on every session I've tracked during the past 12 years since I originally purchased it from Mercenary Audio, I am the only owner in it's history.It was a show mic they used to promote the Soundelux line before they stopped carrying them in lieu of Bock Audio starting.Prior to servicing I have shot this mic out with several vintage Nueman M49's...it has ALWAYS been the winner of every shootout, especially on vocals when you set things on Figure 8 Pattern (where I much prefer to track with it on most sources).It's simply incredible on everything, from drum overheads and room mics, on acoustic guitars, hand percussion, horns, strings, vocals of all kinds, and in my opinion it sits more naturally in the mix than a U47 or U47 clone.I keep this mic wrapped in plastic to prevent dust from affecting it at all times, and have done so since it's purchase in my smoke free, personal/professional studio.You can call Bock Audio to verify that Cary Miller had an E49 worked on, or call me to talk about it at length at (908) 472 0123. I want to make sure this goes to a discerning buyer who understands that they are getting a mic that works and sounds essentially new after being serviced. A new hand built E49 would cost two to three thousand more by comparison.I will also make the time to add more photos if people request them.
