Condition: Overall, this guitar is in very good if not excellent condition. It does have various nicks, dings, chips, and scratches throughout the neck and body (pickguard also has corner chipped), but overall, it's still in great shape, especially for a '64. The frets are worn down a bit (maybe half?) but are evenly worn and the entire neck still plays without dead frets or other issues when properly set up (should use wound G for proper intonation). Otherwise the truss rod and all of the electronics fully function as they should. One or two of the tuning machines turn a little harder but still function just fine. Description: This 1964 Epiphone Coronet is an absolutely killer guitar all-around. From everything I can see, it looks to be all-original as well. Similar to the early Gibson Les Paul Juniors, it features a single dog-eared P-90 in the bridge that outputs loads of vintage charm with its crisp chime and jangle. It's rounded C neck is perfectly easy to play and even with just a compensated wrap-around tailpiece has solid overall intonation with the right string set (wound G). The body is nice and light and the neck/body balance makes for easy playing both standing and sitting. It also comes with a Peavey semi-hardshell case that fits it near-perfectly, keeping the neck and body snug in place while providing considerable protection without the weight of a standard hardshell. Plus, outside of some love marks here and there, it is still incredibly clean for a 50-year-old guitar and plays like it sounds – like it will live forever. Specs:Neck: Round C-shape one-piece mahogany neck and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Vintage-style tuning machines with white oval buttons. 24 3/4” scale. 1.68” nut width. 17-degree pitch batwing headstock. Body: Solid mahogany body (trim 1.375” depth compared to 1.75” of the early '58-'59 models) in original Cherry finish. 3-ply white symmetrical pickguard with silver embossed Epiphone E. Black top hat knobs with labeled silver inserts and nickel indicators. Nickel hardware. Electronics: Single nickel/chrome dog-eared P-90 pickup. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control. Includes a Peavey Lite semi-hardshell case.
