This vintage piece of DJ equipment is in excellent cosmetic condition. Unlike others on eBay from time to time, this unit is in working order and does precisely what it is supposed to do: allow you to engage in phrase sampling and mixing with an intuitive user interface. All in all, a fun machine with relevance to all types of music today, producing a warm, fat, crunchy sound unavailable elsewhere but characteristic of the date of manufacture back in the mid-90s. These are now sought after machines, especially in virtually unblemished condition -- impossible to find in almost pristine shape with the original Akai box (although the box is rough due to storage).
