This is an incredibly well kept Yamaha Recording Custom drum set we have recently received on trade. It's a 2017 set with minimal hours of use and all of the original drum heads. The famed Recording Custom drums have been the stuff of legends.  The kit features 6-ply North American birch shells with 30-degree bearing edges and redesigned Hi Tension lugs that have added weight to enhance lower frequencies. Yamaha has also added thirty-degree bearing edges on all drums in order to provide more attack, crisper sound, and wider tuning ranges. Older Recording Customs featured a painted black on the insides of the shells while the new inner shells are now hand painted a dark brown color showcasing the wood grain. The birch wood handles highs and lows very well and allows drummers to really lay into the drum or gently play and receive great tone either way. The shallow classic depths give the extra punch and definition that the Recording Customs are known for.
