You are looking at a one of a kind custom 2007 First Edition Gibson Les Paul Robot guitar. I performed the middle pickup mod. My back ground is in machining (20+ years) and the middle pickup was performed with a full size milling machine with digital read out. The cut was made as good or better than factory. I have pictures to prove it. When I purchased the guitar the auto tuner system was dead so all the parts for that have been sold. It has upgraded Seymour Duncan pickups, 59 neck, Screaming Demon middle (two small cracks in the bobbins), and SH5 custom bridge all 4 wire pickups with 500K long shaft Bourns push pull pots on the tone controls and the middle pickup volume. So it’s 3 volumes and one tone. The middle pickup is controlled by its own volume. Turn down the middle pickup and the switch works as normal neck and bridge. You can also run all the pickup at once! The volume pots are Gibson pots. Guitar sounds great and play’s great. Believe it or not I can get strat tones out of this guitar using the push pull pots to split the pickups as well as the famous Gibson Les Paul tones running the pickup at full power. The body is chambered and guitar weights in about 6.5 lbs. Get that Les Paul tone without the sore back from a 10 pound + guitar. The guitar has a 50’s neck with REAL ebony fret board. I removed the auto tune tuners and replaced them with Made in Japan Gotoh pearl tuners ($65) to match the white binding, pickups, pickup rings and knobs. There is some slight factory damage on the head stocks top side edge. It looks as if the tek at Gibson had problems adding the binding around the headstock and the veneer is not perfect. It looks in the photo as if it has cracks but the damage has clear coat over top done at the Gibson Factory. Still looks good and does not affect the playability in any way. I just felt I needed to disclose the issue. I will snap a photo of it and show the issue as well as I can.
