Vintage Yamaha SBG 2000. Serial number 035152. According to what I could find it Is a 1981. I have owned the guitar for over 20 of it's 36 years. The guitar is in great shape but it does have scraps and dings associated with an older guitar. Nothing major and plays like butter. If you are reading this you no doubt have some info. about these guitars and the association with Carlos Santana. Some refer to these guitar as "Les Paul Giant Killers". Check out the videos on YouTube. Guitar comes with original OHSC and a cool owners manual. The case has some superficial scratches and one small tear otherwise in great shape. Features1. Mahogany body with Maple centerpiece. Maple guitar face.2. Humbucking style pick-up with a bi-sound system. You can push the tone controls on and off for a great range of sounds.3. Inlaid abalone on the headstock and also on the ebony fingerboardSigns of it's age1. Superficial pick scratches on body and pick guard.2. Small chip and dings on the neck, body and headstock3. A full thickness ding on the bottom outside edge. See Photo please. 4. Light wear on the gold plate of the tuners, bridge and tailpiece.Plays great. The frets have what I would consider to be light wear. Will let you know this is a solid and well made guitar. The weight is 9.7 lbs.
