Vintage Meister Walter Monnig Professional Double French Horn
Up for sale is a vintage Meister Walter Monnig professional double french horn. This horn, we believe, was made in the 1960's, in East Germany, serial number 123. This one was just put on consignment here in the shop. The consignor wanted us to sell this one AS IS, and not have our shop do any work to it. The slides all move freely, as do the valves. There is definitely some wear and dents throughout the horn, but nothing that affects the way it plays. It will need a good cleaning and to have the valve section strings re-tied. It does play in its current condition and the valves are smooth. It will ship in a vintage hardshell case, that may, or may not, be the original one. It also comes with a Farkas Model french horn mouthpiece. Proceeds from the sale of this horn will go to TUCSON SUMMER MUSIC. Tucson Summer Music is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides free music education to children aged 5-13 from low-income families.
