For sale is a matching pair of vintage NS-10m monitors and Bryston 3B ST Stereo Power Amp. NS10 Ser# 129399 L/R in solid working condition. Some scuff marks and corner wear from regular use over the years. Do not be fooled by the NOS pairs on ebay selling for $350! These are fakes from Russia and not at all legit NS-10s. $1450 USD is a very very fair price for these famous, almost mandatory studio reference speakers and highly rated THX power amp designed for LucasFilm. The Bryston 3B ST Series Power Amplifier:Solid-state stereo power amplifier. Output power: 120W continuous into 8 ohms (20.8dBW), 200Wpc continuous into 4 ohms (20dBW); 400W continuous into 8 ohms in bridged mode (26dBW). Distortion: 0.007% at 120W, 20Hz-20kHz, IM (60Hz+7kHz, 4:1, SMPTE method) or THD. S/N ratio: 106dB ref. rated output, 90dB IHF. Slew rate: >60V/µs. Damping factor: >500 at 20Hz ref. 8 ohms, equivalent to an output impedance of 0.016 ohms. Input sensitivity: 1V for 120Wpc into 8 ohms; 2V for full output, balanced. Input impedance: 50k ohms unbalanced, 20k ohms balanced. Polarity: non-inverting.This is the THX Lucasfilm version of the amplifier and was chosen to power my NS-10s after MUCH research and discussions with well-established old-timer engineers with dozens of Grammy's under their collective belts. This is an amazingly clear and open sounding amp with a lifetime warranty from Bryston. They make your monitors noticeably better sounding. The trio of matching NS10s and the Bryston was liquid gold for my mixing studio. I wondered how I ever survived without them. Ive since closed the studio so I'm hoping to find them work again in some other magic music environment, where they belong. Did I mention the Bryston lifetime warranty? Well let me tell you! You don't need a reason, backstory or excuse, you don't need a receipt, if you have the amp and something is wrong, you email Bryston, they give you an RMA, you send it in, they fix it and ship it back FREE OF CHARGE! They stand behind their gear like few people do anymore. I had a problem with one channel continually blowing out fuses and sent it in, they replaced the circuit board, cleaned it up and sent it back and it's been flawless ever since.
