This is really cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1960's Old Kraftsman Speed Demon. This is a Hollowbody Thinline Electric Guitar. Old Kraftsman was built by Kay out of Chicago. Old Kraftsman guitars were sold through the Spiegel catalog as a "House" brand for them. They are the same as a Kay with very minor changes. This Speed Demon is a fine example of this model. Has the classic "DeArmond Speed Bump" pickup. Plays and sounds great. Not anywhere close to the quality of a Gibson, but is still a great playing and sounding guitar. If you are into that "Trashy" '60s sound, this will do. Guitar is mostly original. The bridge has been replaced. Other than that, it seems to be all there.The DeArmond Speed Bump pickup gives this guitar a really awesome sound. Lightweight at just under six pounds, this is a comfortable playing guitar. the cutaway gives you the mobility of getting to the higher notes. Tuners are original and work just fine. Overall, a lot of fun to play. Whether you are into gigging or just playing at home this guitar will give you that "Right" sound at a reasonable price.These Speed Demon's do not come along very often. This is your chance to get a USA Vintage guitar at an affordable price.Cosmetics: Good "Relic" Condition. What I mean by "Relic" is there is some wear on this guitar due to use. Keep in mind that this is a 60+ year old vintage guitar. There are scratches, chips, nicks, dings and dents on both sides of the body. (See pictures #1, #4). Lacquer checking. Normal wear and tear. Cosmetic only. NOT Structural. Neck, Headstock and Fretboard in great shape. Very Authentic. Cool wear marks everywhere. Dripping with "Mojo". The wear is what gives it it's charm. It is used. Not perfect. Good Condition. Overall, a really nice guitar. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
