Gibson Vintage A-12 Mandolin Circa 1970’s This instrument is in Excellent shape. No visible playing wear. One Flaw is the deteriorating heal cap. (seems to be common on this model) This instrument I believe to be in the 1970’s It has a carved spruce top and maple back and sides according to their brochure. I believe it is all solid wood. The scale is very similar to the F model. I bought it as my F-5 was being repaired. It felt and played the same to me. They did not put the same detail in the scroll, and the binding. The F model also has a carved back. But..... this kept the price down. This has the same sound as my A-5, but the neck is a little bigger. Easier to play like the F. I am offering a Return policy, but will reserve $150.00 because of the hassle of returns. I figured this is better than no return policy I have done my best to describe the instrument to the best of my ability. Please ask questions, or request more pictures. I have bought and sold on EBay and have a perfect rating. I am offering it at the same I have into it. I have put new strings, and adjusted it to play perfectly. Thanks
