Selmer AS42 Alto Saxophone Excellent, near-new condition The Selmer AS42 Alto Saxophone marks a first ever collaboration between Henri Selmer Paris and Selmer USA on an entry-level professional saxophone. Featuring fully ribbed body construction, Pisoni pro leather pads with metal resonators, blued steel springs and hand engraving - the body for the AS42 is ready for the advancing player, but it also comes with a neck designed and manufactured by Selmer Paris for this instrument, as well as a mouthpiece from Selmer Paris specially made for the advancing player. This makes the AS42 the most unique instrument in its class and price range, and the only one that can boast a genuine Henri Selmer Paris neck and mouthpiece. Yellow brass, fully ribbed construction, hand engraved, genuine BAM case, genuine Selmer Paris neck and mouthpiece, Pisoni pro pads with metal resonators, High F# key, rocking table mechanism, adjustment screws. This particular saxophone has only been played for a handful of hours. It is in “like-new” condition. There is a light scratch on top of the octave key arm and there may be some other very light surface scratches from handling. This horn has awesome key action and the rich, dark tone that you would expect from a good Selmer. It will brighten when you push it, particularly in the upper register. Altissimo and multi-phonics are easy to produce. The horn has excellent projection, partially due to the metal resonator pads. Comes with a beautiful BAM trecking-style case with backpack and shoulder straps, Selmer Paris AM42 mouthpiece, ligature and cap, neck strap, cork grease, polishing cloth and warranty card. Check my feedback and you will find that I have sold a Reference 54 Alto, a Reference 54 Tenor and a Reference 36 Tenor, as well as several high-end mouthpieces, etc. Please ask any questions prior to buying.
