Up for sale is one 1930's RCA 44A, recently restored and re-ribboned by Clarence Kane of ENAK mics. This has ONE day of use after it was re-ribboned. Clarence also replaced the mesh screen on the mic, and re-wired the output for XLR male, for easy integration into any modern studio. Engraving indicates it was once used at NBC studios. The A model of RCA's 44 line is basically identical to the visually iconic umber-grey BX, albeit slightly rarer. Differences are its bronze finish, slightly lower-output magnetic material, and placement of the ribbon in the cage - the A's ribbon is more central, and thus slightly more Figure 8 than the BX.
