I am relisting the unit as the buyer asked me to send the unit to different address than the one given by paypal. It is against paypal policy, so I needed to send him a refund and relist. I am offering rare stereo Ortofon STL 631 tube treble limiter manufactured in early 60's by famous Danish company Ortofon. It was designed and very well built for cutting vinyl acetates, broadcasting and recording studio. It is a tube limiter of treble frequencies with very fast fixed times (less than 0,5 milliseconds attack, 80 milliseconds release). It was designed to match Ortofon cutting lathes, so it has 6dB output level drop compared to the input level. It might be used this way or as a tube de-esser for vocals, drums or anything else in any modern recording studio. The treble limiter was carefully cleaned and refurbished (all electrolytic capacitors and inner potentiometers were replaced for highest grade components) and currently coming in a very good cosmetical and technical condition. Power transformer and most probably other transformers too are made by Jorgen Schou. Tubes are vintage Mullard ECL86 x 2, Philips Miniwatt E88CC and rare GEC EAA91/5726 x 2. Height is 2U and the width a standard 19" rack. Weight 7 kg. Coming with matching connectors and cables with XLRs and power plug, so it is ready to use when plugged to 220-230V power (as far as I remember the power transformer has a tap for American 110-115V). Also copy of very important detailed technical docs are present, where you find detailed description with all technical datas, schemes and calibration procedure, very important). Plug and play. No further warranty is given as the unit is more than 50 years old.
The unit is property of my studio and will be invoiced at selling amount ( I am not able to declare lower value than it is actually is, so please do not ask, I am sorry). Shipping within continental EUROPE will be around 30 EUR. If you like me to ship overseas, that is possible either, but it will be 100 -140 EUR (TNT door to door trackable delivery). PLEASE AVOID AUTOMATIC PAYMENT AND WAIT FOR MY INVOICE TO GET THE RIGHT AMOUNT. PLEASE NOTE I WILL SHIP TO YOUR CONFIRMED PAYPAL ADDRESS ONLY. YOU NEED TO PLACE THE RIGHT ADDRESS IN YOUR PAYPAL SETTING UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THROUGH BANK TRANSFER. THANKS.
