This is your chance to own a rare and beautiful piece of Gretsch and Rock n' Roll history. I had it adjusted by a guitar technician from Spacetone Music in San Antonio, Tx, and he said that it was a 1958, ( I don't recall where it was written or how he discovered it). The sticker inside reads " The Fred. Gretsch Co. Mfg. Brooklyn Ny. Model No. 6186 Serial No. 32438 " I have owned it for little over a year and play it frequently. It stays in tune and sounds great when plugged in. This seems to be one of the earliest pickups Grestsch used and surprisingly, there isn't much buzz. Its not noisy like a typical p-90. It plays with a richer sound, like you'd imagine. The action is great. It has a ding on the backside along the trim by the neck, I included the photo... Other than that there is natural wear in the sunburst that you would expect with an old guitar, but it still shines! and I took the pickgaurd off because I didn't think it looked good, but it is included...Let me know if you have any more questions!Reason I am selling it, need the money...
