Guitar Description
Something really quite special here. The Ibanez Jem 77FP represents one of the very first incarnation of the Ibanez Jem model introduced in the early 1990’s. The 77 Floral Guitars are all incredibly rare, amazing and beautiful instruments. With 2 variants the FP was was discontinued over 12 years ago. This particular model was built in the early 90’s when Jem manufacturing was at its peak in quality also referred to as the “Golden years” of guitar making . This particular FP features the classic first generation Edge Tremolo System, the one still used today by Steve Vai . Jim Dunlop 6100 fret wire, Fluorescent Green Vine inlays, 1-Piece Maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with the original “JEM” neck profiling (this later changed in 2001) and the screaming DiMarzio  PAF Pro pickups. The beautifully retro design is actually real fabric based on Steve Vai’s classic curtains, pressed into the wood and lacquered. No easy feat when you consider the potential creasing that can occur working with fabric. Many of the old FP’s were played to death and finding a rare guitar like this in this condition is virtually unheard of.Privileged to offer this exceptional 77 Floral Pattern Jem in an unbelievable condition. This guitar looks to have been barely played with very fews signs of wear on the guitar. See below for a detailed report on the exact conditionYou simply don't see many of these models around very much anymore and they are usually completely modified. The 77FP is a completely unique design compared to many of the later Jems and is a prized addition for any collectorThis is a piece of Jem history and a beautifully unique looking instrument made from the absolute highest quality materialsIf your looking for a Jem that few people own in this condition then this would the be the ideal guitar for you.The 77FP was manufactured during the golden years of Ibanez guitar manufacturing 1988-1993 at a time when Ibanez really had their work cut out making a name for themselves competing with the USA brands. As a result the attention to detail, build quality and materials used are some of the highest every produced during the Ibanez Jems long running history. This is a chance to own one of the very best guitars ever produced and a highly collectable guitar that will only go on appreciating in value to the lucky new owner. If you have any questions at all or would like to make an offer please : Contact me on the Condition: Fit and Finish
Its hard to get better than this one. Not many signs of playing wear, minimal fret wear, nice low action across the entire radius of the fretboard and a new set of strings ready to rock. Please take a look at the 25 HD pictures on here to confirm the condition for yourself.Fret Life/Fretboard - This guitar has had very light use, plenty of life in those frets,. The fretboard is exquisite with a stunning maple neck and a beautiful rosewood fingerboard
Tremolo - Still with a fantastic finish, Almost no blemishing and no pitting on the tremolo unit. There is a very faint indentation indicative of light wear, more on the low E side of the tremolo. A HD picture has been taken close up, very minimal in nature
Neck - Original Neck Straight as an arrow with an incredible feel and grain. No cracks or wood problems. There are NO neck pocket cracks on this guitar! A very common problem that this one unbelievably doesn't suffer from
Electronics - As you would expect in a near mint instrument there are no issues with electronics. Sounds like a dream, pickup selector snaps into place and these pick ups absolutely scream!
Body work- This is where the guitar really shines, quite literally. The body work is in exceptional condition and looks stunning. We have had to inspect every inch of this guitar to find only a few tiny marks. There are some light playing marks on the guitars finish 1 tiny chip in the upper horn edge (less than 1cm diameter) and 2 tiny indentations in the finish on the edge lacquer deep all photographed and very tiny imperfections in a guitar of this age and quality, its quite remarkable!
Case - This guitar comes with the a lovely hard case in reasonable condition, the latches function but are a little bent out of shape so need some force to close correctly and 1 latch is missing. Case still functions fine. Only a minimal signs of ware from storageI will put this guitar through my set up process as complimentary service if the asking price if offered. "Hello Rex,
The guitar arrived in perfect condition today. Although I will be in Italy for another week, I had my housekeeper Skype me here in Florence and we unboxed and inspected the guitar together. All is good. Thank you for packing the guitar so well. I appreciate it. I can't can't wait to get back home and plug her in.
Cheers,"

"Hi Rex What can I say?
What an amazing guitar. I can't believe the condition its in after all these years. I sold mine many years ago to fund a Jem DNA and this is in even better nick than that one. Thank you for making the purchase effortless”

"I had been searching the internet for a decent used Jem for a while but was reluctant to purchase such an expensive guitar without seeing and playing it. The same with getting stuff off ebay without playing/seeing it….risky business!
I then came across  and found a gorgeous V70 in sea foam green. The site is great…..loads of info and some of the best photos of used guitars I’ve ever seen…….proper Jem pornography!
The photos and write up for the V70 were fabulous and it was obvious that this seller loves his Jems!
Although I had been looking for a 7VWH I was really taken with the colour of this model. I checked out the specs on the Ibanez site and was a little worried to discover this model is made in Indonesia and not Japan so I contacted Rex from  and we discussed the guitar at length……his knowledge of the Jem models was superb and being a great guitarist himself he understands how they feel and play. He assured me that the V70 was a cracking guitar and the quality from Indonesia was great……especially at the price.
I ordered it on a Wednesday evening and it was delivered Friday with Rex given me updates throughout its journey!
I can tell you now …… this V70 model is awesome. The pickups are smoking hot and the Edge trem is bloody insane! I don’t care that this thing was made in Indonesia it looks and plays amazing! It is also one of the most beautiful guitars I’ve ever seen…..the sea foam green with the tree of life inlay has to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated.
The description given on  was also spot on……it said immaculate and that is exactly what it was. You couldn’t tell it wasn’t new.
I’m still looking for a 7VWH and won’t be getting it anywhere else but !
Thanks to Rex for your help and advice……..I couldn’t be happier……unless you could make my fingers quicker too!"
Nick.
