Up for sale is a vintage 60 year old 1957 Gibson A-40 A-Style Mandolin. Hand Carved Spruce top with Mahogany sides & back. The finish is cracking & crazing all over the body. The original tailpiece has a few string hooks missing so a replacement was installed and the tuner knobs have been replaced since they were unusable. Everything else is all original and sounds sweet. Just back from the shop with a fretboard clean & seal, fret cleaning & polish, internal K&K twin fusion pickup system installed. They also did an internal repair of a horizontal crack on the bass side/side of the instrument- I tried to get a decent pic of it (last one)This Mandolin is ready to pick for another 60 years and comes with old vintage chipboard case. Shipping to US ONLY (Mandolin has Rosewood features) via UPS or USPS.
