For sale is this vintage blue Vandoren Jumbo Java alto saxophone mouthpiece with the A95 facing. These blue Javas are unique and rare (especially the A95 facing), featuring a large wedge baffle, large round chamber, and scooped out side walls. This piece is in original condition, having never been worked on. Note that this is one of the earlier Jumbo Javas as it includes the elephant outline. This piece is a powerhouse. It projects unlike any other mouthpiece I've ever played - rubber, plastic, metal, alto, bari, tenor, whatever. It has a bright tone and is perfect for any style or ensemble where you need to cut through the band. It would be at home in contemporary jazz, r&b, rock, funk, you name it. It plays at all dynamic levels easily. Overall this mouthpiece is in fantastic condition. The table, tip, and rails are in exceptional condition. There is a slight nick in the chamber as shown in the photo, but it just cosmetic, and there are no indentations on the bite plate. There are some light scratches from the ligature, but these are very minor as shown in the photo. This mouthpiece does not include a ligature or cap. Bidding starts at $699.00, which is several hundred less than similar blue jumbo javas have sold for recently. Please see the terms and conditions below before bidding, and please ask any questions you might have. All sales are final. I ship internationally! Please see the eligible countries under the shipping option near the price listing. Good luck and happy bidding. Terms and Conditions: 1. Only bid on this item(s) if you agree to these terms and intend to buy the item(s). If you bid on this item or “buy it now” and then retract your bid or do not pay for the item(s) you will receive negative feedback and I will report you to eBay as not paying for the item. Items not paid for will lead to dispute resolution. I do not want this to happen, and neither do you. 2. Related to number 1: ask any questions you might have about the item(s) and its condition before you bid. If you bid on the item without asking questions and then retract your bid you will be reported to eBay. 3. This item(s) is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. All sales are final. I do not offer returns. Again, only bid if you intend to buy the item(s). 4. I ship internationally through the ebay Global Shipping Program. 5. Shipping charges include insurance to cover the winning bid amount. 6. I ship as soon as payment clears. 7. By bidding on this item(s) you enter into a binding contract with me (the seller) and I fully expect you to buy the item(s). Here is eBay’s definition of this contract: When a seller lists an item and a buyer purchases it, the seller and buyer have entered into a contract that both members are expected to honor. For sellers, this contract includes both formal requirements, as well as informal, common-sense obligations to provide good service to their buyers (http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/seller-non-performance.html). And here’s some more info on this binding contract: Buyers cannot: • Commit to purchasing an item (either by winning the item or buying an item in a Buy It Now listing) without paying. To understand the penalties, please refer to the Unpaid Item Policy. • Bid with no serious intention of buying. Most of the items on eBay are auction-like listings and each bid is a binding contract. Certain eBay online auctions involve non-binding bids (for example, some real estate auctions). However, these non-binding bids represent a buyer’s serious expression of interest in buying the seller’s item, and insincere bidding is not permitted (http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/buyer-rules-overview.html). Should you (the bidder) violate this binding contract I will pursue my rights as a seller to the fullest extent of eBay’s policies. 8. I reserve the right to end the auction early. 9. I reserve the right to cancel bids by those with 0 or negative feedback. 10. I only accept Paypal from confirmed addresses, which means the address you list with Paypal matches the billing address on your credit card. Payment is expected within 7 days of auction close.
