This is a classic Guild hollowbody with DeArmond pickups. It’s been played, and thus has some dings here and there, but it is surprisingly untouched after such a long life of making music. She holds her tune with no problem, and plays like a dream. As for that tune/tone. These are vintage DeArmond pickups. DeArmond was among the first to make first-rate guitar pickups, and these were among the best available in the early 60’s. They are single coils with a cutting purity that is breathtaking. And if you want to sound like Ray Davies, just plug her directly into a tube amp. It’s a beautiful sound. This is a hollow body with a bound arched mahogany top and mahogany back and sides in cherry finish. The neck is also mahogany. The scale is 24.75, like a Gibson ES-335 – but this guitar is completely hollow.  I originally listed this as a Starfire III; it is a Starfire Ii. Guild hardshell case is included.$2,200.00, buyer pays shipping.
