.. the Hot Rod Brownie .. is a Natural Light Relic .. All the play wear is real .. Actual Play Wear .. none of it is faked .. .. I love Strats .. and this one is inspired (iirc) by Clapton's comments that ".. a well played Neck is a Preferred Guitar" .. .. and of Creating "Blackie" in the early 70's with the best parts from three pre-owned '56/'57 Strats (costing $100 to $300!) .. EDIT: I want the first owner of the Hot Rod Brownie to know that it's designed to be a powerful guitar .. to cut through a mix or overdrive a tube amp when it's called for .. or to play a smoky clean lead that toughens up with a more forceful touch .. what you shouldn't do is plug it in your amp & Dime everything!!! .. instead set up your EQ on the guitar & amp at the most quiet & open settings and gradually open it up to get the best Tone the guitar has to offer .. the Clapton Mid Boost & DiMarzio Area pups are a potent combination ..
First an '02 Clapton Signature Neck .. 12+ years of playing had hand smoothed it to a glassy comfortable feel & natural tint ..

As fine a guitar as I've ever played .. at 7# 10oz .. it feels like a well made tool .. and has truly Versatile & Expressive Tonal Range .. .. the Neck has 15 years of play and feels like silk in my hands .. no buzzing or dead spots from the Nut to the Dusty End .. .. the Body has 3 years play on its thin-skin Nitro finish .. Very Comfortable & Light Natural Relic condition .. .. The DiMarzio - Area '61-'58-'67 Pickups have Vintage Strat Sounds .. dynamically responsive & powerful .. the Area Pups are Really Quiet even with the Mid-Boost cranked .. not an easy accomplishment .. Thanks Roy/Martian .. .. This guitar is in Authentic Light Relic condition .. Know that you are going to find wear & marks on every side .. ..
