Here we have possibly one of the rarest and earliest set of Hi hats in existence! Wow these cymbals sound truly amazing being dynamic and versatile with a unique vintage unparalleled soundK zildjian constantinople stamp 2 on top hat with no decipherable stamp on the bottom but undeniably a matched pair as they fit almost perfectly at 15" with the bottom having the old zildjian small centre hole so your stand will have to be adapted to accommodate. Bottom could even be a pre stamp zildjian or that only the top hat got stamped the unmistakable lathing hammering and patina on these cymbals is absolutely beautiful as to be expected from cymbals from pre 1927 ( the year constantinople became Istanbul) the timeline is vague on these old zildjians with no official record in existence I believe these could be pre 1920 possibly 1910 .The top hat has rivets and the centre has the classic grommet type to accommodate the clutch and a cut out which could have been a repair but has a very clean matched edge so could have been an original feature for air release purposes. The odd flea bite and nick but no cracks splits or keyholing excellent for 100 yrs oldI've been researching these and there doesn't seem to be many if any out there .
