Thinning the herd... :) So...Up for Auction We Have a Very Nice Axe in Search Of A Good Home...One-of-a-kind prototype. WWL Surf Rod. This is the first one made to prove a concept of a more high performance Strat® using the highest quality materials and components. It turns out to be a parallel of the Plus, Ultra and Deluxe models of the 80s-90s. But it does it better, faster, stronger, etc... :)I've had a lot of those models along with Jeff Beck sigs on the bench over the years. But this one just gets it done on all levels and gives back 100% of what you put into it and then some. It was also the basis for ALL of my most successful axes..The Particulars:We start with a mid-weight solid ASH body with a beautiful Trans red finish.A One piece maple neck with larger headstock and fairly chunky "U" profile, Medium jumbo frets and WWL microdot inlaysLSR Roller nut and Hipshot locking tuners for tuning stability.Hipshot BALL BEARING floating bridge/whammy... ultra-smooth!Abalone Pickguard and chrome knobs with matching trimLace Sensor noiseless Pickups With Custom wiring:Neck: Lace Emerald - Woody with excellent clarityMiddle: Lace Gold - Vintage SparkleBridge: Lace Purple - Fat P-90ish tone, extra guts without being over the top or ice-pickyMaster Volume, Master Tone with middle Knob as a 4-way tone Select that chooses the target frequency of the master tone. The whole circuit is VERY interactive and let's you dial in resonances across the spectrum. very usable and musical!This axe will cover all the bases. It playss well with all amps, pedals and even amp sims. It also has Tone, Response and sustain BEFORE you even plug it in. That's the way ALL axes SHOULD be...A TKL Zero Gravity case is included and will be set up with fresh strings and such before shipping.Shipping will be Free within the US 48.
