Description

1956 Fender Telecaster, V-Neck, Blonde Finish. '56 is certainly one of the best years for Telecaster, and this lightweight instrument is a fine example. The body is refinished in authentic translucent blonde, by Fiesta Finishes™. The finish shows off the grain in the one piece body. The neck has an older overspray finish. Head stock still retains original finish under the overspray, however the decal has been replaced. The frets are original and in good playing shape. The guitar features a great sounding grey bottom bridge pickup, from 1966, while the neck pickup is original. The pick guard has been replaced.Otherwise, the guitar appears to be all original, including pots, bridge, slant screw saddles, knobs, switch tip, and Kluson Single Line. Pat. Pending tuners. The guitar is incredibly light, at just 6.8 lbs. The serial number is 14XXX. The body date is 7-56, while the neck date is 8-56. The V-neck measures .816" at 1st fret and .994" at 12th fret making this neck not as big as some from the period, but still a big V neck. Pickups measure 5.7K Ohms at the bridge, and 6.0K Ohms at the neck, perfect vintage readings. The guitar ships in a vintage Fender 1980's Tweed reproduction case.Satisfaction guaranteed.
