Features of this TOKAI SS-40 Silver Star include:
Body: Alder body finished in a 3 Tone burst
Neck: Maple neck with a medium C Profile
Fretboard: Maple fretboard with 70's large Fender style headstock
Frets: 21 Medium frets
Bridge: Tokai vintage tremolo bridge
Finish:
Pickups: original Tokai grey bottom single coil pickups
Control: 1 volume, 1 tone , 1 selector switch
Hardware: Vintage style tuning keys and 3 bolt neck plate
Weighs 8.4 lbs and comes with a black gigbag
For sale is a great 1980 Tokai Silver Star SS-40 Strat electric guitar. See above for all its features. These TOKAI made in Japan guitars are fabulous instruments that are extremely well built. As many of you know, they give their USA Fender brothers a run for the money at half the price. This one 37 years old and a super super clean and shiny 9.3 on 10. It was purchased, played very lightly and spent most of its life in the closet of a smoke-free home. Looks amazing, plays great, has that classic Fender strat tone plugged into your favorite amp. If this guitar was a 1980 Fender Strat in this condition, it would cost $1800. This Tokai is pound for pound just as good and 1/3the price.
