Wow - this is a truly unique & interesting hybrid accordion. It is a 4 row Melodija button box with a fully chromatic treble keyboard and a diatonic G-C-F-Bb bass side. So, you could call this a half chromatic, but not in the 'traditional' sense. The bass side can play in 8 of the 12 possible key combinations - namely the most common/popular keys of E,A,D,G,C,F,Bb,Eb! The treble reeds are quality from Baldoni, as are the thick, wide, padded, adjustable shoulder straps and bass strap. The instrument is currently set up to play as a B (German) system, BUT, the great part is that you can very easily set it up to play as a C (Italian) system by simply switching the 1st and 3rd reed blocks! In addition, the original 4 diatonic G,C,F,Bb reed blocks are also included with the instrument! So, you are really getting 3 accordions in one! The original white-pearloid treble buttons are also included if you want to remove the black sharps/flats/ buttons. The instrument itself is in excellent condition inside and out, plays well, is loud, powerful, has tight bellows, and a light, smooth key action. Has a palm air button, external bellows lock, thick protective bellows pad, and a nice metal, plush-lined carrying case in good condition.
