Made by Babak Yazdan in the 70s ? or 80s ?, this large tar has an extra large bowl
and a Ghanbari style neck.It is in fantastic overall condition and sounds like a classical tar like you would
hear on older recordings, because the wood is fully dry and seasoned.
Has a nice volume and fairly long sustain. The body is mulberry and the neck is walnut. There was 1 long crack at the bottom
of the bowl during the original making of the instrument. It was sealed and then
finished. It does not have any effect on the sound, and is quite usual
in instrument making.Has a brand new skin, and the strings can be played on for quite some time yet.
Includes a nice hard case in very good condition and 1 tar pick (not pictured).I am listing this tar at $1800 for one week only, after which I will raise the price
to $2500 until I find the right buyer. So if you really want this tar, get it this week
while you can at this reasonable price!Length: 39"
Width: 10"
Depth: 7.25"
