A superb "del Gesu" model instrument by Gustave Villaume made in Nancy 1935. In near mint condition. This is not your typical commercial French workshop violin. This one is a the work of a true master luthier. Absolutely stunning looking violin with a sound to match. The superb materials and craftsmanship have awed some of the top violin makers in the New York metro area after seeing this instrument. Beautiful sound- rich yet amazingly clear and easy to articulate. Sound samples upon request. Without any cracks or repairs. Perfectly set up by Emmanuel Gradoux-Matt in NYC. Ready to play. Instrument suitable for professionals and collectors. Gustave Eugene VILLAUME born 1899 Mirecourt. Pupil of Mougenot and Jacquent Gand. Known for his skillful copies in the Guarnerian model. Supplied in a lightweight oblong case.
