Vintage Hemi-Sync Binaural Tone Synthesizer THIS VIDEO SHOWCASES THE EXACT UNIT THAT IS UP FOR SALE. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RUSHING SOUND YOU HEAR IN THE BACKGROUND IS THE "SURF" CONTROL TURNED UP. I TURN IT DOWN A COUPLE TIMES THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO SO THAT YOU CAN HEAR THE TONES BY THEMSELVES. THE VIDEO DOES NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY REPRESENT THE ACTUAL INTENSITY OF THE SOUNDS THAT COME OUT OF THE UNIT. WHEN YOU HEAR THE SOUNDS IN PERSON, IN STEREO, THEY REALLY SOUND INCREDIBLE AND MESMERIZING. THE VIDEO DOESN'T REALLY DO THE SYNTH ANY JUSTICE, BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS IMPORTANT TO SHOW IT IN ACTION FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO AREN'T AWARE OF IT'S GENERAL PURPOSE. This is a very rare unit. It is no longer made, and there aren't any others floating around for sale. This exact tone generator has been used to create binaural tracks for many CDs for meditation, astral travel, out of body experiences, and lucid dreaming. There are several binaural tone science studies that list this unit as the tone generator used in the experiments. Feel free to google the model number to research it a bit. I have played with this unit several times, and it truly produces some intense stereo tones. It's really easy to make yourself feel like you're blasting off on a spaceship. I can see how this could be an interesting tool to use for meditation or similar activities.This synth is in PERFECT working condition. It has been fully tested, and refurbished internally. All of the controls were lubed and conditioned with Deoxit D5, and they work without any pops or crackles. You can "play" it live without any issues. This unit makes tons of fully-audible brainwave tones which can be controlled and tweaked in many ways. You can also run music through this unit and play the tones in the background. There are separate volume controls for the music and tones, so you can mix them to your liking. The plastic on the unit has some tanning from age, as you can see from the pics. Also some small discolored spots on the plastic on the faceplate and top of the case. See pics for details. Everything works perfectly. Knobs are all intact. Power cord is good. The photos showcase the exact unit you are bidding on, so please use them for full evaluation. If you were to introduce this machine into your meditation practice, I think you might really be able to have a lot of fun experimentation. I tried it a few times and it was thrilling.
