It features an Alder Body with a Gorgeous Exotic Figured Maple Top, a fast C-Shaped neck with a Rosewood Fingerboard, Texas Specials, Custom Tweed Case with all of the case candy including a Genuine Fender White Pickguard, and the Original Fender Box.
I bought this fine fiddle to play and unfortunately it just sat in its custom case in my smoke-free home. Channel-bound? What does this mean? In the Dealer Event Select Stratocaster®, Fender has actually inlaid a compound-radius rosewood fingerboard into the guitar's C-shaped neck, so the perimeter of the neck itself is the actual binding. It's a novel and innovative approach that creates a unique, stylish look, while giving you an uber-comfortable, buttery fretting-hand feel with delightfully rounded edges and no side seam between neck and fingerboard.
Texas Special Pickups give you iconic tone
Fender's Texas Special single-coil pickups give you the sound that redefined Texas Blues, and the Fender Dealer Event Stratocaster packs three of 'em. The low-end is nice and tight, mids have plenty of bark and bite, with bell-like highs on top.
