National Lap Steel Guitar 1956 Reso Phonic    Up for auction and sale is a great National Reso-Phonic lap steel guitar in grey pearl MOTS finish. It sounds great and has plenty of natural volume, as this is not electric. It is the perfect "couch" guitar for playing without amplification, and loud enough to keep up with most acoustic settings. There is some wear to the paint of the fretboard, and pitting to the chrome cone covers. These can easily be re-plated and look like new, if you decide to. The tuners work well, and the guitar holds tuning great. These are pretty rare, as the lap steel movement was pretty much winding down by 1956, and not too many of these were made. Serial number plate is stamped X22099, which dates it at 1956. No case, but we will pack very well for shipping.   This fantastic item can be seen in person at OFF THE WALL ANTIQUES – 737 N.
