1938 King Zephyr Special Alto Saxophone 1938 King Zephyr Special Alto Saxophone This King Zephyr Special Alto Saxophone has a serial number of 209xxx which puts it’s manufacture date somewhere around 1938. This was a made in Cleveland, Ohio model. The original sterling silver double socket neck is in great condition and has the matching serial number. The finish is original and has a beautiful dark patina. The beautiful floral engraving is very visible throughout the bell and bell keys. The King Zephry Special came standard with full pearls, and this one has all the pearls which are still in very good shape. The pearl rollers all move smoothly. Most of the pads are darker in color, so they are probably a little old, but the sax seals and plays well as is. The new owner may want to take it to their tech to have it set up to their liking. Comes with the original end plug and in the original King case. No mouthpiece included. Please look over the pictures and feel free to ask any questions before purchasing.
