The flight case is actually red. It is the thickest, highest quality hand built flight case available and PERFECT for keeping your ac30 pristine over the years.This ac30 is a JMI version from their final days. This is actually a bass version ( Hendrix used the bass version of a Marshall amp for deeper bottom end and more power). These are the identical speakers as a Mashall JTM45, you surely know. One speaker has been re-coned. Not a big deal. Otherwise every last cap, knob, and part is original 1966 Britain. Swinging London, the Beatles and all that!! Their Summer of LOVE! This is one of the greatest amps ever designed in the history of tube amps, PERIOD! The tone from this thing is simply amazing. I keep the tubes to be vintage glass. The power tubes are Mullard and the preamp tubes are all British, like Mullard, Brimar, Amperex, Valvo, etc... I have different tubes if you want me to swap any for your personal taste.I just can't say enough about how great this amp is. I have owned no less than SIX original/vintage ac30s in my life and this one is among the best. Don't let the fact that there are Lemco caps instead of WIMA utilized in this one. The Lemcos are sealed in epoxy like Mustard caps and are actually BETTER than WIMAs. The original Woden transformers are there and are perfect. Nothing has been altered or changed. This is a great example of a 1966 JMI built Vox ac30 and comes with a flight case. These are one of the few amps that continue to rise in value. You used to find these for $2,000. Now I am seeing them for $6,000 or $8,000 or sometimes more. They are worth it because they are THAT special. And compared to what Vox makes today, it is a different company, different amp, different quality of tubes and it just can't compare.Thanks for looking. Please take a look at the rest of my stuff.
