Very Rare Vintage 1978 Gibson RD Artist Bass Guitar Serial No: 71998001 Made at the Kalamazoo Plant USA, July 18th, 1978 Production Number: 1. . . Excellent + condition. Rare Antique Burst finish & Ebony fretboard. A nice clean example with the original case. The bass shows very few marks. The neck & headstock are clean other than a few bumps and scraped around the edge of the body, some light wear on the underside of the neck and a small ding in the middle. The neck is straight and the action set up nice and low. The frets are in great shape and the truss rod is fully functioning. The headstock has no cracks/repairs. The original Moog circuitry and pots are untouched. Maple set neck and body, custom designed active electronics with built in compression / expansion, bright and neutral modes. 3 way pickup selector. 34 1/2 inch scale. Perloid dot inlays and headstock motif. Electronics designed by Moog. Gibson humbucker pickups. Comes in the original hard case plus original manual. Willing to do a straight swap for a Gibson Les Paul Custom...
