Gibson SG Standard 2001 Model black Ebony Road Worn w/ Brown HSC Road Worn Made In U.S.A. USED GibsonSG Standard 2001 Ebony Black with Hardcase Gigged and Road Worn and used! Made in 2001. Some Play ability Info:
- Has a medium sized neck, very quick player, easy access to the upper frets.
- Has a 498T Pup in the bridge and a 490R Pup in the neck.
- The frets have a lot of life in them with minimal wear. Action is setup up niceand low for fast playing.
- Great guitar, solid, bite stone. Very well made and very light at around6.6Lbs.
- Strings have recently been changed to Gauge 10 Ernie Balls so need need to change strings if you are accustom to these. :)
- Mahogany body and neck General Condition disclaimer:
This guitar has been gigged and used so If you are looking for a prime example that's in top shape then this guitar ISN'T for you as it has been gigged by the previous owner before me, so it has much wear to the body with buckle rash, scuffs, scratches and general usage wear. But if you are looking for a solid guitar that plays brilliantly, sounds amazing, looks slightly different to the usual Gibson SG Standard with the different tuners and you really like road worn guitars then this guitar IS FOR YOU. :) Condition in detail: - The original tuners have been changed for Grovers, unfortunately I don't havethe originals.
- The guitar has wear, scratches and marks to the body from being gigged by theprevious owner. (Pictured these as best as possible) The hard case also has wear, chips, dings and marks to the edges.
- frets have lost of life with minimal wear.
- Hardware has tarnishing to it and some corrosion to the bridge
- Knobs work fine but the bridge volume knob can be easily removed so it's probably time they were replaced with new ones it also has a small chip to it.
- Head stock has some marks and wear to the finish. Has this lovely patina to the logo that older Gibson start to get with age.
- Back has buckle rash, scuffs, scratches and general wear.
- Back lf the headstock has marks from the previous tuners.
- Bridge pickup cover has a small ding - Hardcase has much wear to the edges, a couple of old sticker marks, still very solid. The locking system works and has been set I will send you a message with the code and will include a written copy in the case. The switch/ latch for the locking is a bit stiff so you need to give a bit of strength with the release button to un-lock it. Reluctantly selling as I recently purchased a Gibson Les Paul Custom and the price was eye watering so trying to take the edge off the money I have spent on that. ;) Any questions please feel free to ask.
