This is an original German Bandoneon from the 1920's coming with a soft case and with certificate of authenticity and evaluation by Carsten / Germany a bandoneon specialist
I have a professional violin maker workshop (www.mpviolins.com) so I know that this is a very good instrument, with great sound and a very high value. Because of the exportation band law in Argentina of the Bandoneons the prices of this instruments are getting higher every day as the supply is getting smaller!!! the company Alfred Arnold in the so-called „142 tones, Rheinische Lage”. It was
manufactured in Carlsfeld (Saxonia) Germany exclusively for the export to South
America. It carries the typical original firm stamps beside historical stamps from
Argentina on the inside.
All units carry the manufacturing number (22804 made 1923-1927). Therefore it is a historical
instrument in all original parts. Alumium reed plates, reeds and rivets did not
oxidize and show up in an optimal condition. The instrument is in equal tuned
professionally in 2004.
The restoration, realized in Carsten's workshop, contained a new bellow in the classical
manner of “AA” and new buttons.
Bandoneons this type were manufactured exclusive for the South American market
up to the year 1939 and understand themselves as synonym for the Argentine
Tango. The instrument belongs to the models of the last production with the
highest demand on the international market. The serial number 22804 as well as
the fretwork at the right hand (discant) housing lid is typical.Deatails in 4 languages
