DescriptionThis is a Fullerton carry-over body that was made at the Fullerton factory before it closed and then assembled in the Corona factory in 1986. It is a double Custom Color, in that is Candy Apple Red over Sea Foam Green. Fender shaped these by hand then, and not two are the same. This one has excellent deep contours that you cannot find today. The lines are sleek and it's comfortable to play. The finish is thin and has aged very nicely, showing a lot of age, checking and player wear, but it is still in excellent structural condition. A Floyd Rose tremolo was professionally added and expertly done. When the tremolo and pickguard are on you can barely see the mounting holes for the Floyd. Fender doesn't make bodies like these anymore unless they have a Custom Shop stamp on them, and even then they're not the same. Here's your chance to own one of Fender's best, with old wood, and it's true vintage. This is a wonderful Custom Color body that will be a great focal point of your project or restoration. There are no breaks and is as good as the day it left the factory. It just looks better now.
