American made 1940's Russian 6-string Balalaika - stunning craftsmanship
Product Description Story: One of 3 handmade, circa mid 1940's six-string balalaika built by a master furniture maker at Sloan and Company in San Francisco. No documentation other than the story as told to me by my family. The flame on the body is amazing. The maker died before finishing all projects, and therefore there are no tuners or string holes on the bottom of the body included on this build. A luthier would need to complete the build. I don't play balalaika, and this needs to get into the hands of someone who plays or collects balalaikas.
