Fender Kenny Wayne Shepherd Signature Artist Series StratocasterThis guitar is inspired by KWS's own vintage 1961 strat (which is now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame). He teamed up with with Fender a few years back to essentially make a custom shop strat at an affordable price. There aren't many around, surprisingly. And I don't believe it's being made any more. I've listed as USED as much as I'd like to list it as new because this was a music store floor model that I snatched up. But it has been on display and played, but no one has ever taken it home. There are some light pick marks that show on the pickguard it has been tested in-store. Otherwise, it's mint.
Here's what Fender says about it:
Thanks to its custom-voice pickups and five-way stitching, guitar enthusiasts who pick up this Stratocaster want to rip blues-rock chords like the musician himself. With so much to offer, you'll feel like you have a custom shop guitar of your own. The artist series Signature Strats are highly sought-after guitars. They are top-quality collector's items. Released in 2008, the Kenny Wayne Shepherd six-string Strat combines old-school style with a long list of modern features. Graph Tech ferraglide saddles reduce wear and tear on your strings. You'll be able to bend chords smoothly on its alder body and maple neck, thanks to the 12-inch radius rosewood fingerboard and 21 jumbo frets. You'll also be able to create amazing sounds on its synchronized tremolo bridge.Whether you're making your own music or playing the songs from your favorite artists, you'll find the perfect character, tone, and sound on this electric guitar with its five-position pickup switching blade. The Kenny Wayne Shepherd signature on the back of the headstock is the crowning glory on this beautifully designed piece. And three custom-voiced Kenny Wayne Shepherd pickups with reverse wound/reverse polarity middle pickup add to its deep, bluesy, rock sound. This Fender Stratocaster might have Kenny's name on it, but you can twist, turn, and find your own personal sound to make it your own. CTS pots ensure quality tonal response and precisely adjusted bass. This gorgeous instrument has a four-bolt neck plate, and the neck's dimensions are 1.65-inches wide by 0.86-inches deep at the 1st fret and 1.98-inches wide by 1.012-inches deep at the 12th fret.

Received Guitar World's Gold Award for Performance in 2012 (see attached image of the review!): "Acoustically, the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Signature strat is everything that it should be: loud and percussive, with ringing depth. These traits remain unchanged when plugged into either a clean or driven amp channel. Even when coupled with fuzz or distortion boxes, the guitar's acoustic qualities shine through. Most totable is the note —the atack envelope opens and closes very quickly, making it possible to achieve the nail-gun punch and clean articulation of Shepherd's staccato lines. Likewise, the guitar's full tonal and dynamic potential is realized with a heavy-handed approach and an aggressive style."
I am no pro photographer, but I did my best to capture it in natural light. Sorry about the reflection in a few of those. (And yes, I did have a mat laid down behind it when shooting it on the hardwood floor.) Let me know if you have any questions or want to see any other photo angles.
