Here is a stunning, vibrant and almost un-faded, early, pre-CBS, Custom Colour, Fender Jazzmaster with a rare early matching headstock and what's more it is all original apart from the volume pot that was replaced in 1977.Factory finished Candy Apple Red over silver undercoat, over sunburst just like they did in 1963. Immaculate, all original, crack free green guard and classic, unbeatable, black bottom pre-CBS pickups that will sparkle all the way to surf jangle Nirvana...Plays superbly well too on the original frets with a lovely fingerboard that has hardly any wear, a sure sign of a lifetime fitted with flat wounds. Trem works great and the colour is really quite fantastic - from the front, it looks excellent plus with a very strong colour, I suspect this was not clear coated as there is hardly any fade or yellowing. The back has some buckle rash as you can see and there are dings on the edges and various other places - just have a look at the many photos. There looks like there was a small piece of tape or a sticker of some sort that took a small bit of the front logo when it was removed but it is hardly noticeable.Included is the original brown hard case with red lining (not pictured) which is in good shape but has had a few scuffs here and there.
Probably one of the most decent early, pre-CBS Jazzmasters we have seen in Candy Apple Red which was Leo Fender's favourite colour btw... Please have a good look at the 20+ high resolution photos I have posted to fully appreciate the AMAZING condition these great guitars are in
