I have been woodworking for about 35 years and playing the guitar for 50 years. So I decided to combine the two and start making guitars. This is a large body vintage style hollow body electric. I tried something new to try and lessen the feedback problems that is common in hollow body electric guitars. I mounted the pickups suspended in the body so they are adjustable floating pickups. They are Dragonfire Vintage Humbucker pickups with alinco 5 magnets. They can be adjusted up and down and do not touch the wood face of the guitar. I have not had any feedback with my amp at any volume. The top is made of Birdseye Maple and the body and neck are oak and the fingerboard is rosewood. The neck is three pieces laminated together for strength and stability and has a low profile two way truss rod. Weight is 9 1/2 pounds. The body is 17" at the widest point. I will be building other styles and will take custom orders.
